Dale “Mousey” White, 70, of Paulton, passed away peacefully at 1:45 A.M., January 25, 2022 at home surrounded by his loved ones.
Mousey was born November 24, 1951 in Paulton, IL to Curt and Ethel (Robinson) White.
Mousey was a talented man who enjoyed working on automobiles, lawnmowers, and boat motors. He could build and fix anything, from houses to cars to motors. He never turned down a chance to help someone, even a stranger. Just as he did with everyone he touched; he could restore the broken into the best.
Mousey was a very special man; a man with a never-ending smile and a heart of gold. He saw the good in everyone and loved with everything he had. He touched the lives of each person he knew, with both his heart and his hands. The stories and advice he shared was filled with wisdom and entertainment. His ability to uplift each and every one with his light-heartedness continued to his last days.
Mousey is survived by, his partner of 20 years, Carolyn Winchell of Jackson, MO; three sons, Dale “Dewey” White (Kelly) of Rockford, IL, Stephen Crain of Marion, IL, Dwayne (April) Crain of Pittsburg, IL, Dale “Little Dale” (Christy) Crain of Paulton, IL; three daughters, Tammy (Roger) Gowin of Rockford, IL, Becky White of Rockford, IL, and Melissa (Steven) Whitecotton of Paulton, IL; 17 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren of Rockford, IL; brother, James (Kay) White of Herrin, IL; one niece, Kitty Cavin of Herrin, IL and his beloved dog, Mitzi.
Mousey was preceded in death by his parents; Curt White and Ethel (White) Robinson; his brother; Robert White; his niece, Rhonda White, and numerous friends.
The family asks that you celebrate Mousey’s life by going fishing. Those who knew Mousey knew fishing was something he truly enjoyed.
