Theresa M. Andrews

Theresa Marie Andrews (Sissy Cupp) was born on November 21, 1961 in Washington, D.C., to Carlos Pruna and Mary Heinze. She made her Grand Entrance through the Gates of Heaven at 2:24 AM on June 4, 2021 at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale, IL.

Theresa accepted Christ into her life at an early age. She received her education in the North Carolina Public School System. Upon completing high school she did some traveling and met Melborne (Gene) Cupp. They got married and made their home in Elk City, OK. To this union two children were born, Tonya Travis and Gene Brooks Cupp. While in Elk City, OK she worked for the Elk City Regional Medical Center and Carls Jr., along with a couple other places throughout the years. Theresa also met and married Dave Andrews in Elk City. After Dave passed away, she moved to Southern Illinois to be closer to her mother. Theresa worked in the bakery at Walmart.

Theresa enjoyed spending time with her friends and family, playing the game of Farkle, taking long drives, fishing, reading, watching a good movie, and watching her favorite hummingbirds out on her porch.  She had a great love of animals, especially the cats she had over the years. Spending time with her grandkids was on the top of her list of favorite things.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her loving children, Tonya Travis of Rosebud, AR and Gene Brooks Cupp and wife Karlee of Elk City, OK; her mother, Mary Heinze of Herrin, IL; her father Carlos Pruna of Florida; her stepfather Royce Heinze of Herrin, IL; two sisters, Donna Griffin of Durham, NC and Michelle Pruna of Owensboro, KY; her grandchildren, Gabrielle Cupp, Chad Edsall, Grace Edsall, and Amillia Graham; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Theresa will be laid to rest in Elk City, OK at the Fairlawn Cemetery.
