Theodore “Ted” Ruble, 35, of Murphysboro, Illinois, passed away on February 17, 2025.
He was born on February 9, 1990, to the late Timothy and Kimberley Ruble in Carbondale, Illinois.
Ted was a kind, loving, and dedicated person who always put the needs of others before his own. He was a devoted son who lovingly cared for his mother, Kimberley, following the passing of his father.
Ted worked as an apprentice mechanic at Cycle Tech in Murphysboro, where his passion for motorcycles and mechanics truly flourished. His love for vehicles perfectly matched his adventurous spirit. He found peace and freedom on the open road, and when he wasn’t riding, he enjoyed hiking, playing guitar, and immersing himself in the world of video games.
Ted was also a talented cook who delighted in preparing meals for his family and friends. He shared a special bond with his beloved companions, his dog Zelda and his cat Ninja, both of whom brought him endless joy.
Ted is survived by his mother, Kimberley Ruble; two brothers, Timothy and Trevor Pate; his uncles and aunts, Dale Ruble (Sherri Rawson), Louie Tellor, Matthew Pate, Rosiland Moore Lipscomb, Melody Dow, and Penney (Robert) Iceogle; as well as many cousins and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Timothy Ruble; aunts, Charlotte Tellor and Anita Pate; his paternal grandparents, Theodore and Berna Lee (McCleland) Ruble; and his maternal grandmother, Linda Lipe Ditzler.
Ted's kind heart, adventurous soul, and unwavering dedication to those he loved will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
