Roger D. Acuff

Roger D. Acuff, aged 73, passed away on December 14, 2024, in Benton, Illinois. He was born on May 21, 1951, in Marion, Illinois, to Darrell Acuff and Betty Jo Dillow. Roger lived for many years in Dongola, Illinois, and his life was filled with the simple joys that brought him great happiness: hunting, fishing, and watching NASCAR races.

Roger is survived by his loving daughter, Michelle Acuff, and his grandson, Brad Closson and his wife Natalie Closson. He will be remembered for the love, laughter, and joy he shared with his family and friends throughout his life.

A private service will be held at a later date to honor Roger’s life. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a local animal shelter or Southern Illinois Hospice, organizations that reflect the kindness and care Roger valued.
