Paula Ann Bodkin

Paula Ann Bodkin, 62, of Murphysboro, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.

Paula was born on March 7, 1962, to the late Oshell Dean and Pauline Bee (Brown) Hooker in Murphysboro, Illinois.

She is survived by her beloved son, James Bodkin of Carterville, Illinois; two brothers, Danny (Amy) Hooker and Larry Hooker of Murphysboro, Illinois; four sisters, Darlene Hicks of Desoto, Illinois, Mary (Raymond) Cook of Carbondale, Illinois, Donna Staszak of Murphysboro, Illinois, and Phyllis (David) Blumenstock of Desoto, Illinois; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Paula will be fondly remembered by her special friends, Twilla Stearns of Murphysboro, Illinois, Debbie Ellis Worthen of Arkansas, and Dale Bodkin of Carterville, Illinois, as well as her cherished fur baby, Lilly.

She found joy in watching classic television shows, spending time with loved ones, and playing with her cat, Lilly.

In accordance with Paula’s wishes, she will be cremated, and there will be no services.

Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends.

Final arrangements were entrusted to Southern Cremationa and Burial Services of Murphysboro, Illinois.
