Lisa Marie Rebman (née Qualls), 47, of Murphysboro, Illinois, passed away on March 24, 2025, at Mercy Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.
Lisa was born on November 8, 1977, in Biloxi, Mississippi, to Vickie Morton and Daniel Qualls. In 2002, she married Michael Rebman, building a life filled with love, resilience, and compassion.
Lisa was a passionate and creative soul. She was an avid reader, a talented cake decorator, a devoted fan of SKA music, and a dedicated supporter of many bands. Her love for gardening and animals was only surpassed by her commitment to helping others. Lisa was pursuing a degree in social work, driven by her deep desire to make a difference in people's lives.
Following the heartbreaking loss of her daughter, Mariam, Lisa founded The MOM Project, an online community dedicated to supporting families affected by pregnancy and infant loss. Through this work, she became a beacon of comfort and hope, pouring her heart into helping others navigate their grief. Her kindness, empathy, and unwavering love for her family and friends will be forever cherished by those who had the privilege of knowing her.
Lisa is survived by her loving parents; her children, Aaron, Nicholas, and Ari (Annabelle) Rebman; her siblings, Laura (Michael) Ellet of Grand Tower, Julie Qualls of Carbondale, and Tim Qualls of Grand Tower; her brother-in-law, Chris Rebman; and her nieces and nephews, Abigail (Austin) Smith, Noveda Qualls, Katherine Conatser, Jaeda Qualls, Tinley Qualls, Cameron Qualls, Jesse Ellet, and Luke Rebman. She also leaves behind her great-niece, Melina Smith; special cousin, Mandy King; aunts Kathy (Richard) Minton and Linda Hillard; uncles Bill Walters, Jim (Suzanne) Walters, and David (Jolene) Qualls; as well as special friends, Kenneth Word, Carrie Clardy and Rachael Parker; many beloved cousins, friends, extended family members, and in-laws.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Mariam Rebman, as well as cherished sister-in-law, cousins, aunts, and grandparents.
Lisa’s legacy of love, compassion, and advocacy will continue to live on in the countless lives she touched. Memorial contributions may be made to her family in her honor.
