DECATUR

On Sunday, September 3, 2023, Lisa Ann Jeffro was called home to be with her Lord and Savior at Decatur Memorial Hospital of Decatur, Illinois. She received the greatest grace of eternal peace, where there is no more pain. She was born on January 2, 1964 in Los Angles, California to Jewell and James (Lewis) Branson.

Lisa relocated to East St. Louis, Illinois at an early age where she accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior.

Lisa gave birth to two children, Quinton Lamarr McCottrell and Shanika Morefield, while living in East St. Louis. She later moved to Carbondale, Illinois in 1991 where she met and married the love of her life, Sterling Jeffro in 2001. They later relocated to Decatur, Illinois, a place they called home.

Lisa work as a home healthcare aid. She spent most her time cooking, cleaning and keeping her house decorated. Lisa loved to barbeque and attended family gatherings. Whenever she would shop, she often kept her grandchildren in mind.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her husband, Sterling Jeffro; her son, Quinton Lamarr (Nancy) McCotTrell  of Long Beach, California; her daughter, Shanika (Douglas) Morefield of Panama City, Florida; grandchildren, Nadyda Gace “Suga Suga”, Victoria “Jennie”, Honey “Pepples” Mariah “The Bab”, Nylan Grace “The Baby on Wheels”, Douglas Jr. “Handsome Man”; siblings, Diane (Michael) Lilly of Carbondale, Illinois, Patricia Ann Williams of Gonzales, Louisiana, Margarett Ann Lewis of East St Louis, Illinois and Tommie (Cynthia) Bismillah of Tacoma, Washington; a host of other relatives and friends whom she loved dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents; one brother; and one grandson.
