Kelly G. Arndell

Kelly Gene Arndell of Evansville Indiana passed away at 4:35 pm on Sunday July 2, 2023 at his home in Carbondale Illinois at the age of 62.

He was born November 6,1960 in Evansville Indiana to his father Alton Gene Arndell  and mother Dorothy Jean (Turpin) Pearcy.

Kelly was a 1979 graduate of North Posey High School in Poseyville Indiana. He served honorably in the Navy and reserves. He was a singer for over 30 years and became a writer under the pen name Israel Finn. The only thing he really wanted in life was for people to hear his voice. That’s why he sang and wrote music. And why he wrote stories. He had a lot to give the world and that was how he chose to share it.

He is lovingly remembered by his wife of 30 years, Eyde (Goerges)Arndell; his children Adam, and Kaitlin; his siblings Robin (Bill), Mitzy (Dan), Cindy, and Tammy; his grandchildren, Harper Arndell Kya Arndell, Callie Johnson, Anna Krohn, Austin Arndell, Akayla Day, Lilly Arndell, Carter Arndell, Averie Arndell, Lennon Hale, stepson Sean Schultz, and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

He is proceeded in death by his parents, Gene and Dorothy, his stepfather, Ken Pearcy; his son, Cory; and his brothers Tracy, David, and Jerry.
