With profound sadness, we share the passing of Jeremy House, who left this world far too soon on Saturday, February 8, due to a tragic car accident. His sudden departure has left an unfillable void in the hearts of those who loved him.
Jeremy was a proud graduate of Murphysboro High School, where he showcased his talent in basketball and earned a scholarship to Illinois University. Dedicated to his education, he later pursued certification in Construction Management at John A. Logan College in Southern Illinois.
Born on December 23, 1999, in Carbondale, Illinois, Jeremy was the beloved son of Ashley House and Jeremy Boens. He was one of five siblings and shared an unbreakable bond with his family. In his passing, he is reunited with his brother, Keelan Pendleton, and his grandfather, Archie House.
Jeremy’s memory will be cherished by his loving mother, Ashley House; father, Jeremy Boens; and siblings, Janiya Williams, Kimaya Michelle, and A’Mekka Boens. He also leaves behind his grandparents, Patricia Davis, Elnora Boens, and Bernard Cole; his devoted aunts, Trenell Davis and Lavern Graham-Davis of Murphysboro, IL; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.
Jeremy’s radiant smile and kind heart brought joy to all who knew him. Though his time on earth was brief, his impact was immeasurable. His family finds solace in knowing that his life’s purpose was fulfilled with excellence and love. They will carry his memory forward, treasuring every laugh, every milestone, and every moment spent together.
Jeremy’s life was a gift—one filled with kindness, love, and an unwavering spirit. As an unknown author once said, "Never live your life focused on making your presence noticed; live your life in a way that when you leave, your absence is felt." Jeremy embodied this sentiment, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Jeremy, you are forever loved and will never be forgotten. Rest in peace.
Final arrangements lovingly entrusted to Southern Cremation and Burial Services.
