Garford Hoy, 70, passed away peacefully on June 23, 2024, in Marion, Illinois.
Garford was born October 20, 1953, in Paducah Kentucky to the union of the late Garford II and Helen (Hudson) Hoy. After completing high school, Garford served in the United State Air Force.
Garford lived a long and adventurous life. From the military to riding horses he loved his family and was such a generous man. He would help anyone that he could. He enjoyed spending time with his grand children and going on wild escapades. Towards the end of his life, he suffered from some health issues and just wasn’t himself. His family continued to surround him with love as much as possible.
Garford is survived by his daughter Stacey (Sean) Redinger; sisters, Christine Hart, Rebecca Mays, Teresa (Richard) Johnson, Cindy Hogan; grandchildren, Wesley (Nicholas) Zerpache; great grandson, Drake Zerpuche; Nieces, Renda & Jodie Cunningham, Faye Mullins, Chrissy (Justin) Wright, Holly and Robin Hoga; great nieces, Ashley Johnson, Elizabeth Parron; and other beloved family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Garford II and Helen Hoy; nephew Christopher Barton; and brother-in-laws, Tom Hart and Donald Mays.

Professional Services were Entrusted to Southern Cremation and Burial Services of Murphysboro, Illinois.
